Favorite Fictional Females {Summer Lovin’ 2013}

Fictional Female who is self-motivated, secure in her own identity without the need for validation from a man, refuses insta-love of any kind, and can kick deamon/monster/any-ass at a moments notice. She should possess a high level of snarkiness and not be afraid to show it. When falling in love, it should be slow, deliberate, and last forever. She will not define herself by her past or her present, only in what the future can hold.

Alexandria “Alex” Andros
(The Covenant Series by Jennifer Armentrout)

Alex Andros

Alex was born from the union of an Demi-God (“Pure”) and a Half-Blood, so already born with some mega kick-assery. She is raised in a secret covenant on earth where the half-bloods and pures can train and live without the prying eyes of humans. She has a double dose of snarky and uses it at every chance she gets. Usually causing the other half-bloods to revere her and the pures to fear her. Until the day Aiden St. Delphi, a Pure sentinel, is assigned to be her trainer and the forbidden love that grows between them threatens to get them both killed, or worse.

Katniss Everdeen
(The Hunger Games series by Suzanne Collins)

Katniss Everdeen

Katniss is the best most kick-ass female character I have ever read. She sacrifices herself, fully knowing that there is a good chance she will not survive the Games, just to save her little sister from certain demise. And love, pphhhh, that is the last thing on Kat’s mind. She has better things to worry about, like how to keep her promise to her little sister and be the last one to leave the Hunger Games, alive.

Beatrice “Tris” Prior
(The Divergent series by Veronica Roth)

Beatrice Prior

Beatrice could make her life easy by accepting the faction that she has grown up in. Live near her parents and accept life as it is. But….she knows there is more in her than what she has been able to experience so far in life. Instead, she decides to make her own life as a Dauntless, the most feared and fearless faction. Possibly because of her background, or just because it is her personality, she is determined to prove that she can run circles around the Dauntless raised kids.

What about you, who are your favorite fictional females?

About Meagan

Meagan is a Reviewing Wonderland founder and featured reviewer. Because reading books does not go far in paying the bills, Meagan is also an established certified public accountant (I know, right) and spends most of her time working or spending time with her family.
