Hour Two Update {Dewey Read-a-Thon}

Dewey Read-a-Thon

Sorry guys, no fun gifs this time. Just wanted to drop a quick update on my progress….

Or lack thereof…

30 min prior to start time: I gathered all necessary snacks and prepared myself for reading

8:00 AM: still trying to kick hubby out of the house, while he opened all the window shades and droned on about how “nice” it was outside, and I should be taking the girls outdoors for “fresh air”…blah, blah, blah.

8:30 AM: Finally kicked hubby out to go to work. Prepared reading space with my girls and hunkered down to read.

8:40 AM: Read 10 pages before my two-year-old comes out of the bathroom with poo smeared all the way down her legs…quick tubby time.

9:20 AM: Back to reading.

9:35 AM: Girls begin fighting over the snacks and books in our reading nook. I send one upstairs for new toys and take the snacks away.

9:50 AM: Realize that we are already two hours into read-a-thon and I have read only 21 pages of my FIRST BOOK! *sigh*

So, How are you doing?

  1. I’m not joining in this time, but good luck with the read-a-thon! It sounds like a lot of fun. :)
